Agilent 6460 LC/MS/MS Analysis Method for Clenbuterol in Pork

This study uses Agilent 6460 high performance liquid chromatography coupled to mass spectrometry (LC-MS/MS) to perform high-sensitivity analysis of clenbuterol in pork. The results show that under the optimal detection conditions, the average recovery rate of clenbuterol at the addition level of 0.1 ng/g is 98.2%, the relative standard deviation is 3.5%, and the limit of quantification is 0.02 ng/g. This method has good sensitivity and accuracy and is suitable for the detection of clenbuterol in pork.

About this manual

The document details the development of a Liquid Chromatography-Tandem Mass Spectrometry (LC-MS/MS) method for detecting clenbuterol in pig meat. The study aimed to achieve high sensitivity, capable of measuring levels below the regulatory limit specified by Japanese notification tests.

Using an Agilent 6460 Triple Quadrupole LC/MS system with a Jet Stream ion source, the authors optimized HPLC gradient conditions and utilized Clenbuterol-d9 as a surrogate internal standard. The method successfully achieved a detection limit of 0.02 ng/mL in spiked samples. This manual is written in Japanese.
