This manual provides OQ/PV procedures for the Hewlett-Packard 1050 Series Liquid Chromatograph (LC) from Agilent Technologies, which include internal tests and analytical methods (using certified samples) for the following purposes: • Evaluate and document system performance • Verify system specifications in accordance with your requirements and those of Agilent. Typically, the entire OQ/PV procedure can be performed in a single day, which minimizes downtime and avoids unnecessary interruptions in operation. Tests can be selected individually and performed in any order. However, the test sequence listed in this document takes the least amount of time to perform the entire procedure and minimizes equilibration time. Caffeine, certified according to the United States Pharmacopeia (USP), is used as a sample.
