This document introduces the pesticide library for Agilent 6890 gas chromatograph, which can be used for rapid detection of pesticides in samples. The library also provides information on the characteristics of pesticides.
The Agilent 6890 Pesticide Library is designed to assist in identifying over 700 regulated pesticide compounds. It addresses the difficulty of confirming peaks across different gas chromatographs (GC) and detectors by using retention time locking. This technology ensures that retention times remain consistent across various instruments, such as GC/MS and GC with element-selective detectors like AED or FPD.
The library contains locked retention times for more than 560 pesticides, including suspected endocrine disrupters. By narrowing the search from hundreds of possibilities to just a few, the system allows for faster, easier, and more accurate identification. Users can also customize the library by adding their own compounds, internal numbering, or comments.
| Number of regulated pesticides worldwide | Over 700 |
|---|---|
| Number of pesticides in the library | More than 560 |
| Column specification for locked methods | 30 m x 0.25 mm x 0.25 µm HP-5MS |
| Quality system registration | ISO 9001 |
Retention time locking is a feature of the Agilent 6890 GC system with EPC that establishes a pressure versus retention time relationship using a locking compound, allowing methods to be reproduced exactly from day to day.
Yes, the pesticide library allows you to add new compounds, internal numbering systems, characteristic mass spectral data, or comments to increase its effectiveness.
