The S3067 is a multirate (OC-48/24/12/3/GBE/FC) SONET/SDH/ATM transceiver with FEC function.
The AMCC S3067 is a fully integrated multirate serialization/deserialization device designed for SONET/SDH and WDM applications. It supports transmission rates from OC-3 to OC-48, as well as Fibre Channel (FC), utilizing SiGe BICMOS technology.
The chip features an on-chip high-frequency PLL for clock generation and includes Forward Error Correction (FEC) capability with up to 9 bytes per 255-byte block. It operates from a single 3.3 V supply with typical power consumption of 7.5 W and is packaged in a compact 155-pin TBGA.
