About this manual

The AD7710 is a complete analog front‑end for low‑frequency measurement applications. It accepts low‑level signals directly from strain gauges or transducers and outputs a serial digital word using sigma‑delta conversion. The device features a programmable‑gain front end, two differential analog inputs, a differential reference input, and a bidirectional serial interface for configuration and calibration.

The part operates from a single 5 V to 10 V supply (or dual‑supply) with typical power dissipation of 25 mW in normal mode and 7 mW in power‑down. It is offered in 24‑lead DIP and SOIC packages and includes on‑chip self‑calibration, background calibration, and a 2.5 V reference output.
