This product is a high-efficiency Class D stereo/mono audio power amplifier with a mono DirectDrive® receiver amplifier and a stereo DirectDrive headphone amplifier.
The MAX9775/MAX9776 combine a high‑efficiency Class D stereo/mono audio power amplifier with a DirectDrive® receiver and headphone amplifier. They provide 1.5 W per channel into a 4 Ω load from a 5 V supply, feature spread‑spectrum modulation, active emissions limiting, 3D stereo enhancement (MAX9775), and I²C‑controlled mixer, volume and output settings.
Both devices are offered in compact packages: the MAX9775 in a 36‑bump WLP (3 mm × 3 mm) and the MAX9776 in a 32‑pin TQFN (5 mm × 5 mm) or a 36‑bump WLP. They operate over –40 °C to +85 °C and are suited for cell phones, portable multimedia players, and handheld gaming consoles.
