This document introduces a special wire for photovoltaic systems. The wire has very high cold flexibility, high wear resistance to cutting, tearing, and is halogen-free and therefore environmentally friendly.
Multi-Contact offers a two‑layer insulated cable that combines a TPE core with a TPU outer sheath. The TPE provides good electrical properties while the TPU gives high flexibility, abrasion resistance and environmental durability.
The cable is designed for low‑voltage outdoor wiring in photovoltaic systems and complies with RoHS. It resists ozone, microbes, hydrolysis, oil, grease, UV radiation, high‑energy radiation and sea water. This manual is written in German.

The cable can operate from –40 °C up to +120 °C for more than 5 000 hours.
The TPE core has a relative permittivity of about 2.3, a loss factor of about 0.001 and a dielectric strength of roughly 34 kV/mm.
It is resistant to ozone, microbes, hydrolysis, oil, grease, UV radiation, high‑energy radiation and sea water.
