This document introduces the AT91RM9200-EK evaluation board usage method
This guide introduces the AT91RM9200-EK Evaluation Board, a development platform for the AT91RM9200 ARM9‑based 32‑bit RISC microcontroller. It outlines the scope, deliverables, and the board’s main features, including memory, communication ports, and expansion options.
The manual covers setting up the board, configuration strap settings, detailed schematics, and an errata section. It also provides practical information such as booting from a DataFlash card and the contents of the supplied AC adapter and cables.
| Flash memory | 8 Mbytes of parallel Flash |
|---|---|
| SDRAM | Four banks of 2M x 32‑bit SDRAM |
| Memory expansion socket | DataFlash® or SD/MMC socket |
| Additional memory socket | Additional DataFlash memory expansion socket |
| Audio output | Digital‑to‑Analog Converter (DAC) for stereo audio |
| Communication ports | USB host/device, Ethernet, serial and DBGU |
| Graphics | Graphic controller with VGA output |
| Debug interface | JTAG/ICE, ETM and code test port |
| Expansion connector | Provides additional I/O |
| Prototype area | Onboard prototype area |
| Power supply (adapter) | 100‑240 V ~ 1.2 A, 12 V, 50‑60 Hz |
The kit comes with an AC adapter, a modem RS232 cable, an RJ45 Ethernet crossed cable, a USB A/B cable, a DVD‑ROM with datasheets and software, and DataFlash cards for booting.
Set jumper J15 (BMS) to position 1‑2, insert the DataFlash card into the J200 socket, and then reset the board.
The schematics are provided in Section 5 of the manual.
