ADL5565 is a 6 GHz ultrahigh dynamic range differential amplifier with features including 3 dB bandwidth, adjustable gain, low noise input stage, low broadband distortion, and fast recovery.
The ADL5565 is a high‑performance differential amplifier optimized for RF and IF applications. It offers low noise (1.5 nV/√Hz) and excellent distortion performance across a wide frequency range, making it suitable for driving high‑speed ADCs, SAW filters, mixers and other front‑end circuits.
Key features include three pin‑strappable gain settings (6 dB, 12 dB, 15.5 dB), single‑supply operation from 2.8 V to 5.2 V, 11 V/ns slew rate, and a typical quiescent current of 70 mA (under 5 mA when disabled). The device is supplied in a 3 mm × 3 mm, 16‑lead LFCSP package and operates from –40 °C to +85 °C.
| 3 dB Bandwidth (Av = 6 dB) | 6 GHz |
|---|---|
| Gain Range | 0 dB to 15.5 dB (using external resistors) |
| Supply Voltage | 2.8 V to 5.2 V |
| Quiescent Current (ENBL high) | 70 mA |
| Quiescent Current (disabled) | < 5 mA |
| Slew Rate | 11 V/ns |
| Input Common‑Mode Range | 1.2 V to 2 V |
| Maximum Output Voltage Swing | 4 V p‑p (1 dB compressed) |
The device operates from 2.8 V up to 5.2 V.
The typical quiescent current is 70 mA.
When disabled it consumes less than 5 mA.
Gain can be set to 6 dB, 12 dB, or 15.5 dB via pin‑strappable configuration; single‑ended mode reduces these gains.
