The NET2272 is a low power, high performance USB 2.0 peripheral controller from PLX Technology. It supports 8/16 bit local bus and can connect to most CPUs, DSPs and DMA controllers.
The NET2272 provides an 8/16‑bit local bus interface that connects gluelessly to most CPUs, DSPs, and DMA controllers. It supports Hi‑Speed USB 2.0 with sustained bandwidth up to 40 MBytes/sec (480 Mbps bursts) and offers low active power (186 mW) and ultra‑low standby power (8.1 µW), making it ideal for bus‑powered or battery‑powered designs.
The device is available in 10 × 10 mm 64‑pin TQFP and 6 × 6 mm 64‑ball BGA packages. It supports up to 30 independent USB endpoints, bulk, isochronous and interrupt transfers, and features a variable I/O voltage of 1.8 V to 5 V. Reference design kits and application notes are provided to simplify integration into cell phones, PDAs, portable media players, and other embedded systems.
