About this manual

The AD7846 is a 16‑bit DAC built with Analog Devices’ LC‑MOS process. It offers both unipolar (0 V to +5 V or 0 V to +10 V) and bipolar (‑5 V to +5 V or ‑10 V to +10 V) output configurations, a segmented architecture for monotonicity, and a microprocessor‑compatible interface with read‑back capability.

The device is supplied in 28‑lead plastic DIP, ceramic DIP, and PLCC packages, dissipates only about 100 mW typical, and provides a full set of timing and absolute‑maximum ratings for reliable system design.
