About this manual

The CS8952 is a single‑chip IEEE 802.3 physical interface IC for 100BASE‑TX, 100BASE‑FX and 10BASE‑T. It features an adaptive equalizer for cable lengths over 160 m, low transmit jitter (<400 ps), and six LED indicators for link status. The device uses a standard Media Independent Interface (MII) and includes integrated RX/TX filters and auto‑negotiation support.

The datasheet provides absolute maximum ratings, recommended operating conditions, pin descriptions, register maps, and detailed electrical characteristics for both 10BASE‑T and 100BASE‑X modes. Package information shows a 100‑pin TQFP form factor with specific dimensions and pin assignments for crystal, power, and signal connections.
