About this manual

The ADM8698/ADM8699 devices monitor a 5 V supply and generate a RESET pulse during power‑up, power‑down and brown‑out conditions. The RESET output is guaranteed to stay low with VCC as low as 1 V, and the ADM8699 adds a watchdog timer input that forces a reset if not toggled within the timeout period.

Both parts are offered in 8‑pin DIP/SOIC and 16‑lead SOIC packages, with the larger package providing additional non‑inverted RESET and a watchdog output (WDO). Typical application circuits, functional block diagrams, pin descriptions and electrical specifications are provided for system designers.
