About this manual

The AD5422 is a low‑cost, precision 16‑bit DAC that provides both a programmable current source (4‑20 mA, 0‑20 mA or 0‑24 mA) and programmable voltage output (0‑5 V, 0‑10 V, ±5 V, ±10 V). It features a flexible SPI/Microwire‑compatible serial interface, on‑chip reference, fault detection, and an asynchronous CLEAR pin.

Designed for industrial process control, the device operates from a 10.8 V to 40 V supply, supports capacitive loads up to 1 µF and inductive loads up to 1 H, and includes a power‑on‑reset function to guarantee a known start‑up state.
