This Quick Start Guide provides a concise reference for installing the ABB ACS550-01 drive with an IP21 / UL Type 1 enclosure. It outlines the preparation steps, required tools, and safety warnings before any wiring or mounting work begins.
The guide walks the installer through unpacking, checking motor compatibility, preparing the mounting location, removing the front cover, mounting the drive, wiring power and control cables, performing final checks, applying power, and using the Start‑up Assistant to configure the drive for operation.

Only a qualified electrician should install the ACS550‑01.
Use the specified tightening torques, for example R1 and R2 require 1.4 N·m.
Digital inputs may not exceed 30 V.
