This manual mainly introduces the basic usage methods of ECNO:622 portable ultrasonic flowmeter, including the selection of sensors, sensor mounting positions, measurable fluids, piping conditions, sensor mounting methods, operation methods, and the processing methods for measuring fluids with unknown sonic speeds.
This manual describes the PORTAFLOW X portable ultrasonic flowmeter, covering detector selection, piping requirements, mounting methods, and measurement procedures. It includes quick reference tables, sensor type charts, and data on measurable fluids.
Key sections explain standard detector selection, proper mounting positions for horizontal and vertical piping, fluid compatibility, piping material specifications, and step‑by‑step mounting instructions. The document also contains a data table of sound speeds for various substances and contact information for Fuji Electric.
| Small diameter sensor model | FLD22, pipe size 13–100 mm |
|---|---|
| Velocity measurement range | –32 m/s to +32 m/s |
| Required straight pipe length upstream | greater than 10 pipe diameters (10D) |
The upstream side must have straight piping longer than 10 pipe diameters, and the downstream side must have straight piping longer than 5 pipe diameters.
For horizontal piping, the detector should be mounted within +45° from the water level.
It can measure ultrasonic propagative homogeneous fluids such as water, seawater, oil, and other liquids listed in the manual.
