This document introduces Siemens' range of industrial steam turbines, ranging from 45 kW to 1,200 MW, with the flexibility to meet various application requirements. The products meet the requirements for economic installation and operation, as well as providing excellent flexibility for complex industrial processes.
Siemens offers a broad portfolio of industrial steam turbines covering power outputs from 8.5 MW up to more than 250 MW. The SST series includes single‑casing, dual‑casing and reheat models designed for generator drives, mechanical drives, and complex industrial processes.
Each model is described with technical data such as inlet pressure, temperature, rotational speed, and dimensions. The brochure also lists typical applications across oil & gas, chemical, pulp & paper, biomass, waste incineration, solar‑thermal and combined‑cycle power plants, highlighting the flexibility and reliability of the turbines.
| Power output (SST-100) | up to 8.5 MW |
|---|---|
| Inlet pressure (SST-100) | up to 65 bar |
| Inlet temperature (SST-100) | up to 480 °C |
| Rotational speed (SST-100) | up to 7,500 rpm |
| Power output (SST-900) | up to 250 MW and more |
The SST series covers turbines from 8.5 MW up to more than 250 MW.
They are used in oil and gas, chemical/petrochemical, pulp and paper, sugar and ethanol, mining, metal, cement, biomass, waste incineration, solar‑thermal and combined‑cycle power plants.
The SST-400 has an inlet pressure up to 140 bar and an inlet temperature up to 540 °C.
