Fault code52
Error excessive due to too small acceleration/deceleration time constant or torque limit value or power supply voltage drop. The manual's first action is: “Increase the acceleration/deceleration time constant.”
- Model
- MELSERVO MR-J2S- /L50132B
- Display shows
- Error excessive (52)
- Type
- Fault code
- Source
- Manual p. 108
What 52 means
Error excessive p. 113
Common causes
- Acceleration/deceleration time constant is too small. p. 113
- Torque limit value is too small. p. 113
- Motor cannot be started due to torque shortage caused by power supply voltage drop. p. 113
- Position control gain (parameter No.13) value is small. p. 113
- Servo motor shaft was rotated by external force. p. 113
- Machine struck something. p. 113
- Encoder faulty p. 113
- Wrong connection of servo motor. Servo amplifier's output terminals U, V, W do not match servo motor's input terminals U, V, W. p. 113
What to do
- Increase the acceleration/deceleration time constant. p. 113
- Increase the torque limit value. p. 113
- Review the power supply capacity. Use servo motor which provides larger output. p. 113
- Increase set value and adjust to ensure proper operation. p. 113
- When torque is limited, increase the limit value. Reduce load. Use servo motor that provides larger output. p. 113
- Review operation pattern. Install limit switches. p. 113
- Change the servo motor. p. 113
- Connect correctly. p. 113
Before you service the product, read the safety instructions in the manual p. 2.
If 52 is still not resolved
- contact service / dealer p. 2 “Do not attempt to install, operate, maintain or inspect the servo amplifier and servo motor until you have read through this Instruction Manual, Installation guide, Servo motor Instruction Manual and appended documents carefully and can use the equipment correctly.”
- contact service / dealer p. 3 “Any person who is involved in wiring and inspection should be fully competent to do the work.”
