Common causes

  • A command not defined in this instrument, though not illegal in the syntactic structure, has been received. For example, when a message ".DISP:WIND1:TABL:MEM ON" is sent to a correct program message ".DISP:WIND1:TRAC1:MEN ON," the message sent is received as an undefined command by this instrument. p. 334
  • This error occurs also when a port not existing on this model is specified in a command specifying a port number as an index. Such commands are CALC:FSIM:SEND:DEEM:PORTn:xxxx, CALC:FSIM:SEND:PMC:PORTn:xxxx, CALC:FSIM:SEND:ZCON:PORTn:Z0:R, and SENS:CORR:EXT:PORTn:TIME; they include PORTn as a part. p. 334
