The A3282 Hall-effect sensor is a temperature stable, stress-resistant latch. It achieves superior high-temperature performance by utilizing Allegro's patented dynamic offset cancellation that reduces the offset voltage caused by device overmolding, temperature dependencies, and thermal stress. The A3282 complements the current Allegro family of chopper-stabilized latching sensors.

These Hall-effect latches are extremely temperature-stable and stress-resistant sensors especially suited for operation over extended temperature ranges to +150°C. Superior high-temperature performance is made possible through a novel Schmitt trigger circuit that maintains operate and release point symmetry by compensating for temperature changes in the Hall element. Additionally, internal compensation provides magnetic switch points that become more sensitive with temperature, hence offsetting the usual degradation of the magnetic field with temperature. The symmetry capability makes these devices ideal for use in pulse-counting applications where duty cycle is an important parameter. The four basic devices (3185, 3187, 3188, and 3189) are identical except for magnetic switch points. Each device includes on a single silicon chip a voltage regulator, quadratic Hall-voltage generator, temperature compensation circuit, signal amplifier, Schmitt trigger, and a buffered open-collector output to sink up to 25 mA. The on-board regulator permits operation with supply voltages of 3.8 to 24 volts. The first character of the part number suffix determines the device operating temperature range. Suffix ‘E–’ is for -40°C to +85°C, and suffix ‘L–’ is for -40°C to +150°C. Three package styles provide a magnetically optimized package for most applications. Suffix ‘–LT’ is a miniature SOT89/ TO-243AA transistor package for surface-mount

The A3280, A3281, and A3283 Hall-effect latches are extremely temperature-stable and stress-resistant sensors, especially suited for operation over extended temperature ranges up to +150°C. Superior high-temperature performance is made possible through dynamic offset cancellation, which reduces the residual offset voltage normally caused by device overmolding, temperature dependencies, and thermal stress. The three devices are identical except for magnetic switch points. Each device includes on a single silicon chip a voltage regulator, Hall-voltage generator, small-signal amplifier, chopper stabilization, Schmitt trigger, and a short-circuit protected open-collector output to sink up to 25 mA. A south pole of sufficient strength will turn the output on. A north pole is necessary to turn the output off. An on-board regulator permits operation with supply voltages of 4.2 to 24 volts. Three package styles provide a magnetically optimized package for most applications. Package type LH is a modified SOT23W surface-mount package, LT is a miniature SOT89/TO-243AA transistor package for surface-mount applications; while UA is a three-lead ultra-mini-SIP for through-hole mounting. Each package type is also available in a lead (Pb) free version (suffix, –T), with a 100% matte tin plated leadframe. Data Sheet 27609.20c

The A3260 is a Hall-effect bipolar switch that is extremely temperature stable and stress resistant. It is particularly suitable for operation in extended temperature ranges up to +150 °C. Superior high-temperature performance is made possible through dynamic offset cancellation, which reduces the residual offset voltage normally caused by device overmolding, temperature dependencies, and thermal stress. The device includes on a single silicon chip a voltage regulator, Hall-voltage generator, small-signal amplifier, chopper stabilization, Schmitt trigger, and a constant-current open-collector output. A south pole of sufficient strength will turn the output OFF. An on-board regulator permits operation with supply voltages of 3.5 to 24 volts. Noise radiation is limited by control of the output current slew rate. The first character of the part number suffix determines the device operating temperature range; suffix ‘E–’ is -40 °C to +85 °C and ‘L–’ is -40 °C to +150 °C.
