This document provides advice on designing applications based on devices of the ST10F27x family, including the ST10F276, ST10F275, ST10F273, ST10F272, and ST10F271. It covers information and recommendations on using an external resonator with the on-chip oscillator, details on start-up configuration and necessary precautions, filtering, decoupling, and use of special pins, recommendations to reduce ADC conversion errors, memory interface, and interfacing with the L4969 CAN interface.

This note describes the effects of PLL jitter on the C-CAN modules present in the devices of the family ST10F27x.

This application note describes the CAN interrupt drivers of the ST10F27x/ST10F25x and provides programming examples that can be used to define interrupt schemes and write interrupt drivers.

This note gives advice on configuring the external circuitry connected to the RPD in order to make it work properly.

This document introduces a complete car door module, including components such as the window lift mechanism, wing mirror electric motor, wiring harness, loud speaker, door latch inner release cable, locks, and switches. The module is capable of connecting to other car subsystems via a single wire, reducing wiring harness weight and contributing to overall vehicle weight reduction.

This application note shows a method of performing EEPROM emulation on ST10F27x MCUs using the ST10F27x Flash library.

The purpose of this application note is to detail the startup behavior of L9903 and L9904 devices and to explain a correct initialization sequence, possibly being necessary when application configuration is different from the one suggested inside datasheet. In fact, in case an additional, external diagnostic structure is used, it may happen that after a first connection of the supply voltage, and before first enabling of the device, the measurement results of these diagnostic structure is not precise. This note also provides an application example using standby voltage monitoring.

The PJ-B2980 series of quartz crystal oscillators provide DPECL Fast Edge compatible signals. Systems designers may now specify space-saving, cost-effective packaged PECL oscillators to meet their timing requirements.

This application note describes the minimum hardware environment required to build an application around the ST10F27x, including power supply, clock management, reset control, and boot mode settings.

This document provides an introduction to the Keil µVision toolchain (version 2) for the ST10F27x product family. It summarizes the different steps needed to configure the Keil development toolset, to build and to debug an application. Although this application note cannot show all the topics relevant to the Keil tool, it demonstrates the first steps necessary to get started with the compiler/debugger. Two very simple software examples are supplied with this application note. The first is a small application displaying a message on the toolset serial window. This example is used to show the required steps to create a project, build and debug it. The second example illustrates how to use interrupts and the Logic Analyser feature. The application source files are provided within an archived file. This file can be unpacked into any directory.

This document summarizes the different steps needed to program the internal Flash memory of the ST10F27x using the ST10Flasher tool. The required steps to load a binary file (Intel Binary or Motorola S-Record files) on the ST10F27x embedded flash will be described. A HEX file will be provided within an archived file as an example.

This document introduces the software environment required to develop an ST10F27x application and summarizes the different steps needed to configure the Tasking development toolset, to build and to debug an application on the target hardware.

This document explains the differences between external EEPROMs and embedded-Flash, and provides advice on how to substitute external EEPROMs with emulated-EEPROM using the on-chip Flash of ST10F2xx devices. The document assumes that the reader is familiar with handling embedded aspects, focusing on the differences between EEPROMs and embedded-Flash.
