AN2790 application note describes how to use the STM32F10xxx FSMC (flexible static memory controller) to drive a TFT color LCD.

This application note describes the easy programmer which is a low cost solution allowing the content of the STM8A Flash program memory to be updated when the chip is already soldered on the application board.

Panasonic KX-T7737 Proprietary Telephone Quick Reference Guide includes operation guide, connection guide, safety guide etc.

This application note describes a technique to emulate the universal asynchronous receiver transmitter (UART) hardware peripheral, through the microcontroller medium end timer (TIMER3), without the use of additional hardware. TIMER3 was chosen for this purpose because its capture and compare features can be easily used to receive and transmit data in a non return to zero (NRZ) serial format. This timer also provides a necessary time reference to establish when to send and read each outgoing and incoming data frame bit. In addition, TIMER3 was chosen because it has all the necessary features to build a software UART. Features include two timer channels, one for transmission (TIMER3_CC2) and one for reception (TIMER3_CC1). The input capture feature of channel one allows detection of an incoming data frame start bit, whereas its compare feature indicates when the bits have to be read. The output compare feature of channel two allows transmission of a data frame. The algorithm described in this document is an example which can be further customized and improved. It is explained in Section 7: The UART emulator software algorithm on page 14, together with information on how to configure and use a UART emulator. The algorithm handles several UART hardware features via software such as, selection of the operating mode, noise and frame error detection, programmable data word length and configurable stop

This application note describes how to implement the Speex software codec on the STM32F101xx and STM32F103xx microcontrollers to build a vocoder application. Speex is a free audio codec dedicated to speech encoding and decoding. It provides a high level of compression with a good quality of sound. That makes it a high-performance solution for any application using message playback or a voice recorder, like answering machines, building and home safety systems, intercoms, smart appliances, voice recorders or walkie-talkies.

This document provides practical examples of how to program the STM8A microcontroller clocks, including four clock sources and how to configure the STM8A CLK registers.

This document is an application note that describes the minimum hardware and software environment required to build an application around an STM8A 8-bit microcontroller device. It includes power supply, analog-to-digital converter (ADC), clock management, reset control and development, debugging tool support, STM8 software toolchain, and setting up the STM8 development environment.

This document introduces how to use low cost small CPLD to implement I2S interface to connect STR7xx SPI peripheral with audio device (codec, ADC, DAC, filter, etc.).

This application note describes two different methods for driving liquid crystal displays (LCD) with any standard STM8S20xxx microcontroller (MCU), without any specific on-chip LCD driver hardware: ● the first method uses the timer 2 channel resource and also allows LCD contrast control through software ● the second method uses the Auto-wakeup mode only

RPD is a dedicated timing pin for the return-from-power-down circuit. Additionally, when this pin is recognized low, a reset event is taken as asynchronous. This application note gives advice on configuring the external circuitry connected to the RPD pin in order to make it work properly. The information contained in this document is valid for ST10F27x and ST10R27x.

This application note covers the design and the emulation aspects in using the ST10F276Z5.

This application note describes the best way of configuring the GPIO ports in STR7xx devices.
