Vishay’s new family of PWM optimized MOSFETs have been designed to give the highest efficiency available for a given on-resistance in switching applications such as dc-to-dc conversion. These new devices provide a very low gate charge per unit of on-resistance, in addition to fast switching times. The result is reduced gate drive and crossover losses, allowing designers of dc-to-dc converters to simultaneously reduce the design footprint and increase efficiency

The AN8049FHN is a three-channel PWM DC-DC converter control IC that features low-voltage operation. This IC can form a power supply that provides two step-up outputs and one step-down or polarity inverted output with a minimal number of external components.

The AN8049SH is a low-voltage three-channel PWM DC-DC converter control IC that can provide two step-up outputs and one step-down or polarity inverted output with a minimum number of external components. It supports a wide operating supply voltage range of 1.8 V to 14 V and a wide output frequency range of 20 kHz to 1 MHz.

The AN8041S is a liquid crystal backlight control IC from Panasonic that uses the PWM method. It can control the output voltage of the DC-DC converter and the current of the cathode ray tube by using two error amplifiers, making it easy to design the system. Since the n-channel MOSFET can be directly driven, it is possible to construct a highly effective power supply.
