The STEVAL-ILL030V1 is a LED lighting control demonstration board based on STM32F103C6 and STCS1A, using the DMX512 communication protocol demonstration firmware. The board has jumper settings to configure different operating modes and dimming control of the on-board LEDs. It also features over/undervoltage protection and advanced USB protection using ESD protection devices.

The STEVAL-ILB001V2 is a 36W - 220V AC low-cost high-frequency ballast demonstration board using the bipolar solution for power factor correction (PFC). The demonstration board is a complete reference system for a simple, cost-effective PFC for low-to-medium power high-frequency ballasts. The proposed bipolar PFC solution targets the low-cost high-frequency ballast market up to 80W, providing a simple and cost-effective solution without sacrificing total harmonic distortion (THD) and power factor (PF) levels. No additional integrated circuits (ICs) are required for the pulse-width modulation (PWM) signal, as the device uses only a power bipolar transistor and closed-loop feedback for duty cycle modulation and output power regulation. The active PFC solution with bipolar transistor adopts the boost topology and operates in discontinuous-conduction mode.
