The NCP1404 series are monolithic PWM/PFM step-up DC to DC converters which can automatically change operation mode from PWM to PFM at light loads to improve efficiency at light loads. The NCP1200 is a PWM current-mode controller designed for low-power universal off-line supplies. It allows the implementation of a complete offline battery charger or a standby SMPS with few external components due to its novel concept. The integrated output short-circuit protection enables the designer to build an extremely low-cost AC-DC wall adapter with a simplified feedback scheme. The controller operates at a fixed frequency of 40 kHz, 60 kHz, or 100 kHz and drives low gate-charge switching devices like an IGBT or a MOSFET, requiring very small operating power. The NCP1200 simplifies the design of reliable and cheap offline converters with low acoustic generation and pulse-by-pulse control thanks to its current-mode control. When the current setpoint falls below a certain value, such as when the output power demand decreases, the IC automatically enters the skip cycle mode, providing excellent efficiency at light loads. This occurs at low peak current, resulting in no acoustic noise. The IC is self-supplied from the DC rail, eliminating the need for an auxiliary winding and ensuring operation even in the presence of low output voltage or shorts.

Typical component values of R = 28 Ω, C = 17 pF and L = 1.0 nH deliver a cutoff frequency of 125 MHz and stop band attenuation greater than −25 dB from 800 MHz to 3.0 GHz. This performance makes the part ideal for parallel interfaces with data rates up to 83 Mbps in applications where wireless interference must be minimized. The specified attenuation range is very effective in minimizing interference from 2G/3G, GPS, Bluetooth® and WLAN signals.

MC14099B is an 8-bit addressable latch with serial data input and parallel output functions. It can enter data in serial form when the appropriate latch is addressed (via address pins A0, A1, A2) and write disable is in the low state. The data is presented in parallel at the output of the eight latches independently of the state of Write Disable, Write/Read or Chip Enable. A Master Reset capability is available on both parts.

The MC14049UB hex inverter/buffer is constructed with MOS P–channel and N–channel enhancement mode devices in a single monolithic structure. This complementary MOS device finds primary use where low power dissipation and/or high noise immunity is desired. This device provides logic–level conversion using only one supply voltage, VDD. The input–signal high level (VIH) can exceed the VDD supply voltage for logic–level conversions. Two TTL/DTL Loads can be driven when the device is used as CMOS–to–TTL/DTL converters (VDD = 5.0 V, VOL ≤ 0.4 V, IOL ≥ 3.2 mA). Note that pins 13 and 16 are not connected internally on this device; consequently connections to these terminals will not affect circuit operation.
