MAXIM MAX9600/MAX9601/MAX9602 handbook
The MAX9600/MAX9601/MAX9602 ultra-high-speed comparators feature extremely low propagation delay (500ps). These dual and quad comparators minimize propagation delay skew (10ps) and are designed for low propagation delay dispersion (30ps). These features make them ideal for applications where high-fidelity tracking of narrow pulses and low timing dispersion is critical. The differential input stage accepts a wide range of signals in the common-mode range from (VEE + 3V) to (VCC - 2V). The outputs are complementary digital signals, compatible with ECL and PECL systems, and provide sufficient current to directly drive transmission lines terminated in 50Ω. The MAX9600/MAX9601 dual-channel ECL and dual-channel PECL output comparators incorporate latch enable (LE_, LE_), and hysteresis (HYS_). The complementary latch-enable control permits tracking, track-hold, or sample-hold mode of operations. The latch enables can be driven with standard ECL logic for MAX9600 and PECL logic for MAX9601. The MAX9602 quad-channel PECL output comparator is ideal for high-density packaging in limited board space. The MAX9600/MAX9601 are available in 20-pin TSSOP packages, and the MAX9602 is offered in a 24-pin TSSOP package. The MAX9600/MAX9601/MAX9602 are specified for operation from -40°C to +85°C.

MAXIM MAX976/MAX978/MAX998 handbook
The MAX976/MAX978/MAX998 are dual/quad/single, high-speed, low-power comparators optimized for +3V/+5V single-supply applications. They achieve a 20ns propagation delay while consuming only 225µA supply current per comparator. The MAX998 features a low-power shutdown mode that places the output in a high-impedance state and reduces supply current to 1nA. The MAX976/MAX978/MAX998 inputs have a common-mode voltage range that extends 200mV below ground. Their outputs are capable of rail-to-rail operation without external pullup circuitry, making these devices ideal for interface with CMOS/TTL logic. All inputs and outputs can tolerate a continuous short-circuit fault condition to either rail. The comparators’ internal hysteresis ensures clean output switching, even with slow-moving input signals. For space-critical applications, the single MAX998 is available in a 6-pin SOT23 package, the dual MAX976 is available in an 8-pin µMAX® package, and the quad MAX978 is available in a 16-pin QSOP package.

MAXIM MAX941/MAX942/MAX944 Manual(1)
The MAX941/MAX942/MAX944 are single/dual/quad high-speed comparators optimized for systems powered from a 3V or 5V supply. These devices combine high speed, low power, and rail-to-rail inputs. Propagation delay is 80ns, while supply current is only 350µA per comparator. The input common-mode range of the MAX941/ MAX942/MAX944 extends beyond both power-supply rails. The outputs pull to within 0.4V of either supply rail without external pullup circuitry, making these devices ideal for interface with both CMOS and TTL logic. All input and output pins can tolerate a continuous short- circuit fault condition to either rail. Internal hysteresis ensures clean output switching, even with slow-moving input signals. The MAX941 features latch enable and device shutdown. The single MAX941 and dual MAX942 are offered in a tiny µMAX® package. Both the single and dual MAX942 are available in 8-pin DIP and SO packages. The quad MAX944 comes in 14-pin DIP and narrow SO packages.

MAXIM MAX900 MAX903 handbook(1)
The MAX900-MAX903 are high-speed, low-power, single/dual/quad voltage comparators featuring differential analog inputs and TTL-logic outputs with active internal pull-ups. Fast propagation delay makes them ideal for fast A/D converters, sampling circuits, line receivers, V/F converters, and many other data-discrimination applications.
MAXIM MAX917 MAX920 Manual(1)
The MAX917-MAX920 series of nanopower comparators feature ultra-low supply current, making them ideal for 2-cell battery monitoring/management applications.
MAXIM MAX9691/MAX9692/MAX9693 Manual
MAX9691/MAX9692/MAX9693 are ultra-fast ECL comparators capable of very short propagation delays. Their design maintains the excellent DC matching characteristics normally found only in slower comparators. MAX9691/MAX9692/MAX9693 have differential inputs and complementary outputs that are fully compatible with ECL-logic levels. Output current levels are capable of driving 50Ω terminated transmission lines. The ultra-fast operation makes signal processing possible at frequencies in excess of 600MHz. MAX9692/MAX9693 feature a latch-enable (LE) function that allows the comparator to be used in a sample-hold mode. When LE is ECL high, the comparator functions normally. When LE is driven ECL low, the outputs are forced to an unambiguous ECL-logic state, dependent on the input conditions at the time of the latch input transition. If the latch-enable function is not used on either of the two comparators, the appropriate LE input must be connected to ground; the companion LE input must be connected to a high ECL logic level. These devices are available in SO, QSOP, and tiny µMAX® packages for added space savings.
MAXIM MAX9100/MAX9101 Manual
MAX9100/MAX9101 are micropower comparators that are optimized for single-cell systems and are fully specified for operation from a single supply of 1.0V to 5.5V. This ultra-low voltage operation, 5µA quiescent current consumption, and small footprint make the MAX9100/MAX9101 ideal for use in battery-powered systems.
MAXIM MAX9010 MAX9013 Manual
The MAX9010/MAX9011/MAX9013 are three high-performance comparators from MAXIM, which can operate on a single power supply voltage and have low power consumption. These comparators have precision differential inputs and TTL outputs. They have short propagation delay (typical of 5ns), low supply current and a wide common mode input range that includes ground. They are ideal for low-power, high-speed, single-supply applications. When driven with slow-moving or low input-over-drive signals, the comparator outputs remain stable through the linear region, eliminating the output instability common to other high-speed comparators. The input voltage range extends to 200mV below ground with no output phase reversal. The MAX9013 features complementary outputs and both the MAX9011/MAX9013 have a latch enable input (LE). The MAX9013 is an improved plug-in replacement for the industry-standard MAX913 and LT1016/LT1116, offering lower power and higher speed when used in a single 5V supply application. For space-critical designs, the single MAX9010 is available in the tiny 6-pin SC70 package. The single MAX9011 is available in a space-saving 6-pin SOT23 package. The dual MAX9012 and the single MAX9013 are available in 8-pin µMAX and 8-pin SO packages. All products in the family are guaranteed over the extended temperature range of -40°C to +85°C.
MAXIM MAX9201/MAX9202/MAX9203 Manual
MAX9201/MAX9202/MAX9203 high-speed, low-power, quad/dual/single comparators feature TTL logic outputs with active internal pullups. Fast propagation delay (7ns typ at 5mV overdrive) makes these devices ideal for fast A/D converters and sampling circuits, line receivers, V/F converters, and many other data-discrim- ination, signal restoration applications. All comparators can be powered from separate analog and digital power supplies or from a single combined supply voltage. The analog input common-mode range includes the negative rail, allowing ground sensing when powered from a single supply. The MAX9201/MAX9202/MAX9203 consume only 9mW per compara- tor when powered from a +5V supply. The MAX9202/MAX9203 feature output latches with TTL compatible inputs. The comparator output states are held when the latch inputs are driven low. The MAX9201 provides all the same features as the MAX9202/MAX9203 with the exception of the latches. The MAX9201/MAX9202/MAX9203 are lower power and lower cost upgrades to the MAX901/MAX902/MAX903 offering a 50% power savings and smaller packaging.
