The AD673 is a complete 8-bit successive approximation analog-to-digital converter consisting of a DAC, voltage reference, clock, comparator, successive approximation register (SAR) and 3-state output buffers—all fabricated on a single chip. No external components are required to perform a full accuracy 8-bit conversion in 20 µs.

The ADE7953 is a high accuracy electrical energy measurement IC intended for single-phase applications. It measures line voltage and current and calculates active, reactive, apparent energy and instantaneous rms voltage and current. The ADE7953 meets the needs of the most demanding energy metering applications and provides a wide choice of power measurement information, including power quality data and tamper detect conditions. The AD7869 is a complete 14-bit I/O system containing a DAC and an ADC. The ADC is a successive approximation type with a track-and-hold amplifier, having a combined throughput rate of 83 kHz. The DAC has an output buffer amplifier with a settling time of 4 µs to 14 bits. Temperature compensated 3 V buried Zener references.

ADE7878, ADE7868, ADE7858, and ADE7854 are high accuracy, 3-phase electrical energy measurement ICs with serial interfaces and three flexible pulse outputs. They incorporate six or seven second-order Σ-∆ ADCs, a digital integrator, reference circuitry, and all the signal processing required to perform total (fundamental and harmonic) active, reactive, and apparent energy measurement, fundamental only active and reactive energy measurement, and rms calculations. These metering ICs are suitable to measure active, reactive, and apparent energy in various 3-phase configurations, such as wye or delta services, with both three and four wires. They provide system calibration features for each phase: rms offset correction, phase calibration, and gain calibration. The CF1, CF2, and CF3 logic outputs provide a wide choice of power information: total/fundamental active/reactive power, total apparent power, or sum of current rms values.
