The datasheet provides the data of LTC3350 system monitor, including product features, pin definitions, electrical specifications, typical applications and more.
The LTC3350 is a high-current synchronous step-down controller designed to charge and monitor series stacks of one to four supercapacitors. It features programmable input current limits, constant current/constant voltage charging modes, and the ability to operate in reverse as a step-up converter for backup power delivery.
The device includes internal balancers to eliminate external balance resistors and shunt regulators for overvoltage protection on each capacitor. It monitors system voltages, currents, capacitance, and ESR via an integrated 14-bit ADC accessible through the I2C/SMBus interface.
| Number of Supercapacitors Supported | One to four series stack |
|---|---|
| Input Supply Voltage Range | 4.5V to 35V |
| Maximum Charge/Backup Current | 10A |
| Package Type | 38-Lead Plastic QFN (5mm × 7mm) |
| ADC Resolution for Monitoring | 14-bit |
The device supports charging a series stack of one to four supercapacitors.
No, internal balancers eliminate the need for external balance resistors.
