This datasheet is for the LTC2943, and introduces its product features, characteristics, and applications.
The LTC2943 is a precision device designed to measure battery charge state, voltage, current, and temperature in portable product applications. It utilizes a wide input voltage range supporting multicell batteries up to 20V and features an internal 14-bit No Latency A2 ADC for high-accuracy measurements.
Measurements are stored in internal registers accessible via an onboard I2C/SMBus interface. The device includes programmable high and low thresholds for all four measured quantities, communicating alerts via the SMBus alert protocol or internal status flags. It requires only a single low-value sense resistor to set the measured current range.
