This datasheet details the physical and mechanical properties, processing conditions, and available fiber reinforcements for the Newport 301 epoxy resin system.
Newport 301 is a toughened, controlled flow epoxy resin system designed for structural applications in sporting goods, marine, medical, and industrial manufacturing. It cures between 250°F (121°C) and 300°F (149°C) and offers a long out time of over 30 days at room temperature. The material is available on a wide range of commercially available fibers, including carbon, aramid, and various glass types, in both woven fabric and unidirectional tape forms.
The document provides extensive data on neat resin properties and mechanical performance when reinforced with specific materials such as 7781 E-Glass, 34-700 carbon fiber, and various unidirectional tapes (NCT). It includes typical mechanical property values for tensile, compressive, and flexural strength and modulus, along with melt viscosity profiles and recommended processing cycles.

The gel time is 3 to 5 minutes at 275°F (135°C).
The material can be stored at 70°F (21°C) for more than 30 days.
It is available with most commercially available fibers including Carbon, Quartz, Aramid, S-glass, E-glass, and other specialty fibers.
