The SMM soil moisture meter is a standalone device that measures soil volumetric water content and other parameters. It supports up to 10 sensors (MP306 or MP406) and can be powered by a 5 W or 10 W solar panel in the field or a 12 V supply in the lab. Data can be transferred via USB cable or wireless up to 250 m, and the system includes a Windows‑based GUI for data review, scripting, and sensor calibration.
