IBM FlashSystem V9000 is an all‑flash storage system delivering high performance, scalable capacity, compression, encryption and integration with IBM…
The FlashSystem V9000 combines IBM FlashCore technology, 3D TLC NAND and hardware‑accelerated inline compression to provide microsecond latency, high IOPS and flexible scaling up to multiple petabytes. It integrates with IBM Spectrum Virtualize for virtualization, data protection, tiering and hybrid‑cloud capabilities, and supports major hypervisors and container platforms.
The system offers a range of configurations, including up to 219 TB effective internal flash capacity (2.5:1 compression), up to 5.2 M IOPS (4 KB) with hardware compression, and multiple host connectivity options such as Fibre Channel, Ethernet and iSCSI. It also includes AES‑XTS 256 static data encryption and robust RAS features for reliability. This manual is written in Chinese.
| Effective internal flash capacity | 43 TB to 219 TB (with 2.5:1 compression) |
|---|---|
| IOPS (4 KB) with hardware compression | 1,300,000 to 5,200,000 |
| Bandwidth (256 KB) | 10 GB/s to 80 GB/s |
| Controller CPU | 4× Intel Xeon E5 v4, 8‑core 3.2 GHz |
| Controller memory | 128 GB standard, up to 512 GB |
| Dimensions (HxWxD) | 288 mm × 445 mm × 801 mm (6U) |
| Weight (empty) | 82 kg (181 lb) |
The system can provide up to 219 TB of effective internal flash capacity when using a 2.5:1 hardware compression ratio.
It can deliver between 1.3 M and 5.2 M IOPS for 4 KB workloads with hardware compression.
Supported interfaces include 16× 16/8/4 Gb Fibre Channel, 8× 10 Gb Ethernet FC (FCoE), 8× 10 Gb iSCSI, 64× 16/8/4 Gb Fibre Channel, 32× 10 Gb Ethernet FC (FCoE) and 32× 10 Gb iSCSI.
Yes, it includes static data encryption using AES‑XTS 256.
