This document introduces the features and characteristics of the BW Technologies LP GasPoint Gas Transmitter and how to use it.
This manual covers all required safety information, installation steps, wiring diagrams and system design specifications for the BW GasPoint D1374/5 gas transmitter. It includes detailed guidance on sensor placement, enclosure mounting, 4‑20 mA loop wiring, relay connections and remote sensor‑separation tool kit assembly.
Operating procedures describe alarm settings, calibration gas set‑points, routine maintenance, cleaning, and troubleshooting of fault conditions. Warranty terms and part replacement lists are also provided.
| Catalytic Combustible Gas Sensor Current | 100 mA @ 24 V DC |
|---|---|
| IR Combustible Gas Sensor Current | 75 mA @ 24 V DC |
| Toxic/Oxygen Sensor Current | 40 mA @ 24 V DC |
| Relay Current per Relay | 50 mA (150 mA total for three relays) |
| Maximum Cable Loop Resistance | 650 Ω |
| Physical Dimensions (W × H × D) | 6.8 × 7 × 4.3 in (17 × 17.8 × 10.8 cm) |
| Weight | ≈ 4.85 lb (2.2 kg) |
| Operating Pressure Range | 900 – 1100 mBar (±10 % atmospheric) |
BW recommends regular calibration testing, at least once every 90 days, or more frequently if needed.
Opening the sensor housing invalidates the calibration; a new sensor must be calibrated after replacement.
