This document is the SIEMENS SINAMICS S120 commissioning manual, which describes the optimization process of S120 drive for induction motors and third-party servo motors, as well as the basic positioning and communication functions of S120.
The manual details the motor optimization process for the Sinamics S120 drive, covering parameter calculations (P340), static identification (P1910) and dynamic identification (P1960). It provides step‑by‑step instructions for configuring motor data, calculating impedances, and fine‑tuning speed‑loop parameters.
It also describes the basic positioning functions such as jog, homing/reference, limits and traversing blocks, and explains how to set up communication via PG/PC, DP bus, and the Slave‑to‑Slave feature using STEP 7 and Starter software. This manual is written in Chinese.
Set the parameters r108.3 = 1 and r108.4 = 1 in the offline configuration; the drive will then show the positioning function as activated.
Set P1910 = 1, enable ON/OFF1, and the drive will automatically calculate stator and rotor impedances, leakage inductances and main inductance.
With the motor unloaded, set P1960 = 1 (or 2 for vector control), enable ON/OFF1, and the drive will execute the dynamic optimization, measuring magnetic curves, inertia ratios and speed‑loop parameters.
