The DataMan Setup Tool is used to configure the hardware, software and communication protocols for DataMan, and to create a configuration file for the DataMan.
The DataMan Setup Tool is a common platform across all DataMan models that simplifies deployment by providing a single interface for controlling readers and base stations. It allows users to review live images of codes being read, set up NoRead Image transfers via FTP, and manage device settings in real time. The tool supports both USB/serial and network connections.
The tool allows you to access options for DataMan readers and base stations, such as reviewing live images of codes or setting up the reader to transfer NoRead Images via FTP.
You must choose Start->Cognex->DataMan Software vX.X.X->Setup Tool to launch the application.
You must click Refresh to have the Setup Tool auto-detect the devices.
