This document introduces ADI's latest Wearable VSM (Virtual Sensor Module) platform and the sensor technologies it utilizes. The platform is designed to help electronic design engineers and system architects accelerate the development process for creating new, smarter, and more precise wearable devices for professional and medical markets. It aims to assist in monitoring important body parameters over time to improve health and reduce long-term costs.
The platform integrates several key technologies including bio-potential measurement, optical heart rate measurement, bio-impedance measurement, motion tracking, and temperature measurement. It is designed to be worn on the wrist but can also be configured as a smart chest patch by removing the soft band. The system features a low-power processor, wireless BLE connectivity, and complete power management. Key components include the ADPD107 optical analog front end for PPG measurements, the AD8233 single-lead ECG front end, and the ADuCM3029 processor for signal processing. This manual is written in Chinese.
Yes, you can remove the soft band and stick the device to the chest to use it as a smart chest patch.
The maximum LED current is programmable up to 370 mA.
The target frequency band is configured to support 7 Hz to 25 Hz.
