About this manual

The L6743D is a flexible, high-frequency dual-driver specifically designed to drive N-channel MOSFETs connected in a synchronous-rectified buck topology. It embeds high-current drivers for both high-side and low-side MOSFETs and accepts a flexible power supply between 5 V and 12 V to optimize gate-drive voltage. The device includes an integrated bootstrap diode to save external components and features anti-shoot-through management combined with adaptive dead-time control to minimize low-side body diode conduction time.

Frequently asked questions

What is the function of the internal BOOT diode?

It supplies the high-side driver, saving the use of an external component.

How does the device manage high-impedance state?

It keeps all MOSFETs OFF if the EN signal is pulled low or if the PWM signal remains in the HiZ window for longer than the hold-off time.

What is the purpose of the Preliminary OV protection?

It protects the load by latching the low-side MOSFET ON if the PHASE pin voltage overcomes about 1.8 V during the HiZ state.
