M4Z28-BR00SH and M4Z32-BR00SH are battery backup power for non-volatile ZEROPOWER® and supervisor devices in the 28-pin SNAPHAT® SOIC package. It snaps directly onto surface-mounted SNAPHAT® SOIC and can be cut in line.
The M4Z28-BR00SH and M4Z32-BR00SH are ZEROPOWER SNAPHAT tops, detachable lithium power sources for ST's non-volatile ZEROPOWER surface-mount SOIC (MH) package (28-pin). The SNAPHAT top contains a lithium battery and is designed to be snapped on after the SOIC is surface mounted, keeping the battery away from surface-mount process heat. The M4Z28-BR00SH provides 48 mAh and the M4Z32-BR00SH provides 120 mAh; both have a nominal 2.8 V battery and Li(CF) chemistry.
The document covers mechanical information, battery characteristics, UL recognition, battery life, maximum ratings, DC and AC parameters, package mechanical data, part numbering, and environmental information. It notes gold-plated contact points, six independent contact fingers, four retaining clips, and an assembly that can sustain shock levels in excess of 100 g. ST recommends no more than 40 pounds of force during SNAPHAT insertion and a DIP/IC extractor tool for removal.
