The VN750SMP-E is a high side driver with ECOPACK®, automotive grade, CMOS compatible input, on-state open-load detection, off-state open-load detection, shorted load protection, undervoltage and overvoltage shutdown, protection against loss of ground, very low standby current, reverse battery protection (see Application schematic on page 16)
The VN750SMP-E is a monolithic high-side driver designed in STMicroelectronics VIPower™ MO0-3 Technology. It is intended for driving loads with one side connected to ground and includes active voltage clamps on the Voc pin to protect against low energy spikes.
The device features comprehensive protection mechanisms, including undervoltage and overvoltage shutdown, reverse battery protection, and detection of open-load conditions in both on and off states. It also detects when the output is shorted to Voc in the off-state and automatically turns off if the ground pin is disconnected.
| Operating supply voltage (Vcc) | 5.5 to 36 V |
|---|---|
| On-state resistance (Ron) | Typical 55 mΩ |
| Output current limit | Internally limited |
| Reverse DC output current | -6 A |
| Undervoltage shutdown threshold | 3 to 5.5 V |
| Overvoltage shutdown threshold | 36 V |
| Input hysteresis voltage | 0.5 V |
The device operates with a supply voltage between 8 V and 36 V.
