About this manual

The VN750 is a monolithic high-side driver designed using STMicroelectronics viPower MO-3 technology. It is intended for driving any type of load with one side connected to ground. The device includes comprehensive protection features such as undervoltage and overvoltage shutdown, protection against loss of ground, reverse battery protection, and active current limitation combined with thermal shutdown.

Key features include very low standby current and a reverse battery protection mechanism where the Voc pin voltage clamp protects the device against low energy spikes. The device detects open-load conditions in both the on-state and off-state, and detects if the output is shorted to Voc in the off-state. It automatically turns off when the ground pin becomes disconnected.
