This document describes the STMicroelectronics STEVAL-ILL005V1 VIPer12A-E offline constant current driver for high-intensity LEDs. The driver can drive from 1 to 4 LEDs and has selectable constant current outputs: 350 mA, 700 mA, and 1.05 A. The input voltage range is 90 to 264 VAC, compliant with EN55022 class B for EMI.
The document introduces the STEVAL-ILLOO5V1, an off-line constant current power supply designed to drive from one to four high-intensity LEDs in series. It is built around the integrated switching regulator VIPer12A-E and supports a total output power of up to 6 W for compatibility with 1 W, 3 W, and 5 W LEDs.
