Frequently asked questions

How does the L6375 protect against short circuits?

It uses non-dissipative short circuit protection, driving the output power MOS in linear mode to limit current and switching it off after a set time interval.

What happens when the device overheats?

The device shuts off and the DIAG2 output goes LOW when the junction temperature exceeds 150°C.
