This document describes the structure and connection method of a circuit board, as well as the functions and roles of each pin.
The PI6C106 is a reduced pin count two-chip clock solution designed for designs using an Intel BX style chipset. It supports three CPUs at 2.5V up to 100 MHz and provides seven PCI outputs at 3.3V, including one free-running output. The chip includes two PLLs, with the first capable of spread spectrum operation for EMI control.
| CPU Frequency | up to 100 MHz |
|---|---|
| PCI Outputs | Seven PCIs @ 3.3V |
| REF Clock | 14.318 MHz @ 3.3V |
| IOAPIC Clock | 14.318 MHz @ 2.5V |
| Operating Temperature | 0°C to +70°C |
| Storage Temperature | -65°C to +150°C |
| Package Type | 28-pin SSOP |
The power down latency is less than three CPUCLK cycles.
The power on latency is guaranteed to be less than 3ms.
Yes, the first PLL is capable of spread spectrum operation with 0.5% down spread.
