The ADSP-218xN series is a DSP microcontroller released by Analog Devices, Inc. It has 80 MIPS sustained performance and a maximum clock speed of 12.5 ns. The series supports 3-bus architecture, single-cycle instruction execution, single-cycle context switching, multifunctional instructions, low-power standby mode, low-power idle mode, and other features. In addition, the series also supports ADSP-2100 series code compatibility, up to 256K bytes of on-chip RAM, up to 48K words of program memory RAM, up to 56K words of data memory RAM, dual-purpose program memory, independent ALU, multiplier/accumulator, multiplier/accumulator register group, dual-channel DMA controller, etc.
