About this manual

The TAS5100A is a True Digital Audio Amplifier (TDAA) designed to provide high-quality, low-cost, and highly efficient digital audio. It functions as a PWM power output stage within the TDAA system, accepting a serial PCM digital audio stream from a modulator like the TAS5000 and converting it into a 3.3-V PWM audio stream to drive loudspeakers.

The device features integrated gate drivers for four matched and electrically isolated enhancement-mode N-channel power DMOS transistors arranged in two H-bridges. It includes built-in protection circuitry for over-current, over-temperature, and fault reporting, along with a self-protecting design that shuts down the output under error conditions.
