Ricoh RP505K Series Step-Down DC/DC Converter Datasheet

The RP505K Series is a 1A*1 step-down DC/DC converter with synchronous rectifier. The supply current is low and the ICs use CMOS process and DFN(PLP)2020-8 package. With the ICs, it is easy to make a low ripple, high efficiency synchronous rectifier step-down DC/DC converter with only an inductor and capacitors

About this manual

The RP505K Series are low supply current, CMOS-based 1A step-down DC/DC converters featuring a synchronous rectifier. These ICs integrate an oscillator, reference voltage unit, error amplifier, switching control circuit, mode control circuit, soft-start circuit, latch-type protection circuit, under-voltage lockout (UVLO) circuit, and thermal shutdown circuit. The series is designed for high-density mounting in the DFN(PLP)2020-8 package.

Frequently asked questions

What is the output voltage accuracy for Version A and B?

The output voltage accuracy is ±1.5% at Vout=1.2V or ±18mV when Vout<1.2V.

How can the RP505K Series choose between PWM and VFM modes?

By inputting a signal to the MODE pin, users can select Forced PWM mode or PWM/VFM alternative mode.

What is the thermal shutdown temperature?

The IC resets when the junction temperature exceeds 140°C.
