This document is an instruction manual for the HI 84431 Total Alkalinity Minititrator & pH Meter, providing information on the features and correct use of the instrument.
The Hanna HI 84431 is a microprocessor-based automatic minititrator and pH meter designed for the rapid and accurate analysis of Total Titratable alkalinity in water. It features a simple and accurate peristaltic pump and a built-in algorithm to analyze pH response for determining the exact endpoint. The instrument includes a large dot matrix display and a dedicated HELP key to aid in setup and troubleshooting.

The total alkalinity determination is performed by titration to a pH end point of 4.5.
The resolution is 0.1 mg/L and 0.1 meq/L for the low range.
The instrument is supplied with the HI 1131B pH electrode and the HI 7662-M Temperature probe.
