The LMX2306/16/26 are three low power frequency synthesizers. They are used to generate a very stable low noise signal for controlling the local oscillator of an RF transceiver. The three products use different pre-dividers, which are 8/9 and 32/33. The working voltage range of the three products is 2.3V to 5.5V, and they have ultra-low current consumption. At 3V, the typical current consumption of LMX2306 is 1.7mA, LMX2316 is 2.5mA, and LMX2326 is 4.0mA.
The LMX2306, LMX2316, and LMX2326 are monolithic, integrated frequency synthesizers with prescalers designed to generate a very stable low noise signal for controlling the local oscillator of an RF transceiver. They are fabricated using National Semiconductor's ABiC V silicon BiCMOS 0.5µ process and employ a digital phase-locked loop technique. When combined with a high quality reference oscillator and loop filter, these devices provide the feedback tuning voltage for a voltage controlled oscillator.
