The G962 is a high performance positive voltage regulator designed for use in applications requiring very low dropout voltage at up to 2 Amps. It has superior dropout characteristics compared to regular LDOs, allowing it to supply 2.5V on motherboards or 1.5V, 1.8V on peripheral cards from the 3.3V supply, eliminating the need for costly heatsinks. An enable pin further reduces power dissipation while shut down. The G962 provides excellent regulation over variations in line, load and temperature. It also offers internally preset outputs of 1.5V, 1.8V and 2.5V, which can be adjusted using external resistors.
The GMT G962 is a high-performance positive voltage regulator designed for applications requiring very low dropout voltage at up to 2 Amps. It is available in a TO-252-5 package with options for fixed outputs of 1.5V, 1.8V, and 2.5V, or adjustable outputs ranging from 1.2V to 4.8V using external resistors.
The device includes features such as over-current and over-temperature protection, an enable pin to reduce power dissipation during shutdown, and output recovery mode in thermal shutdown. It is suitable for battery-powered systems, motherboards, peripheral cards, set-top boxes, and notebook computers.
