About this manual

The Agilent Plant RNA Isolation Mini Kit allows for the isolation of intact, high-concentration, and high-purity total RNA from a wide variety of plant species and tissues. The method utilizes spin columns instead of phenol to minimize genomic DNA (gDNA) contamination, often reducing it by a factor of 1/10,000 compared to standard silica or glass fiber methods. This reduction can eliminate the need for downstream DNase treatment in applications such as microarray gene expression analysis. This manual is written in Japanese.

Frequently asked questions

What is the maximum amount of homogenate that can be processed in a single mini prefiltration column?

You can process up to 600 mg of homogenate using one mini prefiltration column.

What is the minimum volume of water required to elute RNA from the isolation column?

You must use at least 10 uL of Nuclease-free water to elute the RNA.

What is the maximum reduction in genomic DNA contamination achieved by this kit compared to general silica or glass fiber methods?

This method typically reduces gDNA levels from a ratio of 1/1.000 down to 1/10.000.
